Kathy Hochul made New York more expensive. Bruce Blakeman has a plan to cut the taxes and utility costs New Yorkers are stuck paying.
1. Cut the income taxes Hochul keeps piling on. While Hochul spends more and leaves New Yorkers with a crushing tax burden, Bruce will eliminate state personal income tax on the first $50,000 of income for single filers and the first $100,000 for joint filers. His plan also calls for a 10% income-tax cut for those earning under $250,000 a year.
2. End Hochul’s green energy scam and cut utility bills in half. Hochul’s energy surcharges, fees, and mandates drive up electric bills. Bruce will repeal those charges, return $2.4 billion in unspent energy funds to ratepayers, and expand reliable natural gas and nuclear power.
3. Cut property taxes instead of paying for Hochul’s waste. Hochul keeps increasing state spending while New Yorkers struggle to afford their homes. Bruce will cut wasteful spending, dedicate 70% of new state revenues to tax relief, and reduce property taxes by 10%. As Nassau County Executive, he stopped a planned $150 million tax increase.
